BREADLINE
was set up in 1995 by Mike Kirkwood who had a vision to empower
missionary minded churches in Romania and the Republic of
Moldova to build ministries that would have lasting impact
on the impoverished communities they served.
‘Empowerment through Partnership’
encapsulates our vision and aim both overseas and here in
the UK. Today the focus of our mission is primarily with partners
in Moldova, Europe’s poorest country, and in the Yamal
region of North West Siberia where we have been supporting
a range of local church run evangelical, educational, business
start-up and 'children at risk' ministries. 'These ‘mission
engine’ projects are providing income to fund evangelical
ministries, including children’s Bible & activity
clubs, camps, support for local orphanages and outreach to
prisons.'

are not affiliated to any particular denomination and are
open to God’s leading in the mission field. Our ongoing
vision is to help build the body of Christ across countries
and cultures by linking churches and Christian communities,
and helping local churches to serve their communities.
“I
know that we are a tiny charity with little money, however
this I also know – we belong to God, He’s the
One who made us what we are, He is our strength and we are
His co-workers. The mission fields he has sent us to work
in may, in the eyes of the world, be insignificant and backward,
but to Him they are treasures of opportunity.” Brian
